As we count down to the December release of Alien: Rogue Incursion on PSVR 2 and PC VR, the team at Survios has given fans a fresh glimpse into the storyline through a gripping new trailer. This sneak peek dives deep into the narrative of our protagonist, Zula Hendricks, and her gripping journey on the mysterious planet LV-354, ominously known as ‘Purdan.’
The trailer raises intriguing questions: What has become of Zula’s friend and erstwhile squad partner on Purdan? What dark experiments are the researchers conducting in this ominous facility? While it’s hinted that the answer involves the notorious Xenomorphs, the trailer captivates viewers with never-before-seen gameplay. We follow Zula and her android sidekick, Davis 01, as they undertake a perilous mission to reconnect with Zula’s former ally, Ben Carver, amid the foreboding surroundings of Purdan.
Predictably, their quest quickly escalates into a battle for survival against lurking extraterrestrial threats. These creatures, with their strategic pack behavior, invoke memories of the cunning Velociraptors from Jurassic Park.
TQ Jefferson, Survios’ Chief Product Officer, shares insights into the game’s creative direction: “We made an early decision to set the story in the aftermath of an incident on Purdan. Zula enters a scene already disrupted, where Castor’s Cradle, our research site, is overrun with terrifying Xenomorphs. This approach allows us to thrust the player directly into intense suspense and action.”
Mark your calendars for December 19th, the date when Alien: Rogue Incursion lands on PSVR 2 and SteamVR. For those eagerly awaiting its arrival on Quest 3 and Quest 3S, hang tight! That’s planned for early 2025. In the meantime, pre-orders are now live on platforms like Steam, the PlayStation Store, and the Horizon Store.
