Treyarch has officially announced that players can dive back into the fan-favorite Stakeout 24/7 playlist in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on November 27. This anticipated return coincides with the launch of a 2XP event and the popular Prop Hunt mode, offering an exciting weekend for gamers.
While the playlist is scheduled to go live at 1 p.m. Eastern (6 p.m. GMT), if recent trends are any indication, we might see it pop up a bit earlier. But rest assured, it shouldn’t be any later than what’s been set.
The map lineup in Black Ops 6 has certainly sparked a range of opinions, but some, like Nuketown and Stakeout, have quickly risen to beloved status among the community. Initially, I wasn’t a fan of Stakeout, but after a few more rounds, its charm became undeniable.
Stakeout is pure, unadulterated chaos – fast-paced and fueled by heart-pounding action. With its mostly enclosed design, you’ll rarely find a moment to relax. Taking even a short pause could put you at a disadvantage.
Many players were understandably disappointed when the Stakeout 24/7 playlist was removed. Fortunately, Treyarch listened and, alongside a celebratory 2XP event and Prop Hunt’s arrival, is bringing back both Stakeout 24/7 and Hardcore Stakeout 24/7 on November 27.
Typically, playlist updates roll out around 1 p.m. Eastern (6 p.m. GMT), but as we’ve seen in recent weeks, it might appear sooner.
Players will cycle through various game modes available on the Stakeout map, including:
– Team Deathmatch
– Kill Confirmed
– Kill Order
– Domination
For those looking to grind out their camo challenges, Stakeout is a dream come true. Its compact size and brief matches make it incredibly efficient for working on those gold and above camo unlocks, especially as challenges evolve from just achieving headshots.
Take the gold camo challenge, for instance, where players need to rack up 10 double kills with a weapon. Stakeout makes this quicker and more straightforward than most maps. And for diamond camo, which asks for three kills without dying ten times, mastering Stakeout’s layout will speed up the process significantly.
I’ve been rather lax with my camo challenges until now, but with Stakeout back in the mix, I’ll be spending quite a bit of time there, checking off as many challenges as I can.
