Larian Studios has been busy refining Baldur’s Gate 3 since its launch in August last year. The award-winning CRPG has grown with major updates, with the next big one, Patch 8, set to be its last significant upgrade. First up, the game will finally introduce cross-play support, allowing players to team up across all platforms—including Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, PS5, and Mac. Additionally, Patch 8 will introduce a fresh subclass for each of Baldur’s Gate 3’s 12 classes, all adapted from the Dungeons & Dragons ruleset into the game’s universe. The Drunken Master subclass piques my interest the most—I can’t wait to try a new playthrough focusing on unique ‘drunk builds’ and pairing my companions with these fresh subclasses.
Larian Studios isn’t closing the book on Baldur’s Gate 3 just yet.
