Activision has recently rolled out patches for both Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone, aiming to resolve a host of issues. They’re specifically targeting areas like mantling speed in Black Ops 6 and player count adjustments for Warzone’s Area 99. With these updates, they’ve also squashed various bugs and fine-tuned the UI for a more seamless gaming experience across both titles.
Black Ops 6 follows its predecessors with new campaigns, enriched multiplayer modes, and an expanded Zombies content. Meanwhile, Warzone continues to dominate the battle royale scene, sustained by regular updates that keep the gameplay fresh. With Season 1, Warzone seamlessly integrates with Black Ops 6, introducing the Pick-3 Perk system and the all-new Area 99 map. These latest patches aim to address and fix minor bugs for an improved gamer experience.
Activision shared their patch notes, highlighting core updates. For Black Ops 6, they’ve enhanced movement mechanics — increasing the speed for smoother high mantling. The Gunsmith feature received a tweak, preventing players from accidentally adding a ninth attachment. Another small, yet neat addition for controller users is the ability to double-tap the left D-Pad in the Firing Range for a quick weapon check.
The Zombies mode in Black Ops 6 wasn’t left out, either. They fixed glitches related to zombie behavior on maps like Terminus and issues with blueprint equipment. Those once-passive zombies are now back to their spooky aggressive behavior. Furthermore, general stability updates were introduced to ensure the game runs smoother than ever.
As for Warzone, notable changes were made to Area 99. The decision to reduce player numbers across modes was aimed at achieving a more fluid match flow and minimizing interruptions during engagements — solos, for instance, now cap at 40 players. This helps balance moments of high tension with calmer periods. Legacy Operators from Modern Warfare 2 and 3 had their audio levels adjusted to align with those in Black Ops 6. Plus, the Gas Mask animation now triggers only upon removal by the player, ensuring it doesn’t disrupt controls or aiming.
Both games continue receiving updates, encouraging players to anticipate constant improvements and fresh content. Activision assures fans that further refinements are in the pipeline, keeping Call of Duty as engaging as ever.
