We’ve been absolutely thrilled to witness the growth in player support and engagement for the Xbox app on Windows PC over the last year. Today, we’re excited to announce that the Home experience, which we’ve been testing with Xbox Insiders, is now available to everyone using the Xbox app on Windows PC. This update makes it quicker and more convenient to find beloved games and discover fantastic new titles.
The Home feature brings forward highlighted content, ensuring players are always in the know about the latest game releases, events, Game Pass additions, sales, and more. With new collections and personalized recommendations, along with enticing deals and discounts, Xbox makes sure there’s something for everyone. The "Jump Back In" feature is especially noteworthy, allowing players in Compact Mode to seamlessly resume gameplay with just a click on any game card from the game’s hub.
While many gamers use the app to explore and start exciting titles available through Game Pass, the Xbox app is also evolving into a fantastic hub for discovering other amazing Xbox games not included in Game Pass.
Earlier this summer, we took steps in collaboration with partners to integrate all PC games with Xbox features into the Xbox app. We’re eager to see which Xbox games make their debut on Windows PC, as this update brings nearly 400 titles that were previously hard to find in the app.
The selection includes several games from esteemed Japanese developers like Kemco and Kairosoft, as well as fan favorites such as Shovel Knight Treasure Trove by Yacht Club, The Jackbox Party Pack, and The Invincible by Double 11, among many others.
What’s more, over 100 of these new additions are part of the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative. This means that if players purchase a game on Xbox console, they also have access to the PC version (and vice versa). This universal ownership, alongside cross-platform cloud saves and cross-play options (where developers allow), are features that truly resonate with players.
With the expanding category of Windows handheld gaming devices, developers now have a fantastic opportunity to engage both current and future players. This flexibility allows gamers to enjoy their favorite titles, with their chosen companions, wherever they are.
