You might be shaking your head in disbelief, but yes, you read that right. There’s a buzz going around about someone who allegedly snuck some pictures from inside a Rockstar office showing GTA 6 on a monitor. The images were supposedly shared on Reddit, possibly giving us a peek at what the developer’s workspace looked like back in 2021—assuming, of course, these images are authentic.
This so-called leak has the hardcore Rockstar fans in a tizzy. Just last month, they were getting all worked up over what appeared to be some cryptic clues involving moons, playlists, and an obsession with the number 27.
According to Eurogamer, this leak first appeared on the GTA 6 subreddit courtesy of a user named JustLovett0. They captioned their post with, “a photo from mid-2021. I think it’s been long enough I can post this.” Although the post has since been locked and removed, it didn’t take long for the image to sprout up all over the internet.
The person who posted it claimed, “Someone I am close to took it when they worked at the Rockstar office for a few months,” and noted that this anonymous photographer is now “super far from Rockstar.” So, what do these daringly captured images actually show us about GTA 6, if they’re genuine?
Well, not much, to be honest. The supposed image of GTA 6 running on a screen is pretty underwhelming. It just features Lucia hanging out next to a wall, with some blue shipping containers and a few palm trees tossed in for good measure. A collection of elements possibly linked to GTA 6? Sure, but let’s not get too excited all at once.
Beyond this, unless you’re keen on sleuthing to figure out if this picture was snapped inside Rockstar’s San Diego office—based on some building layout you might recognize—or you’re intrigued by a peek at some development kits, you’re probably out of luck.
Oh, and let’s not overlook the quintessential detail—the bin under the desk. Who knew office trash could look so pristine? The liner is perfectly in place with no sign of clutter. Perhaps it was bin day when the picture was taken, leaving it wonderfully tidy. A black bin with a white liner, looking utterly formal, is something you might even want as a centerpiece at an upscale event.
So, do you feel a pang of envy, knowing your bins might not live up to the immaculate standards of what could possibly be Rockstar’s? Share your thoughts with us below!
