ASRock’s upcoming Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs have made their unofficial debut online, giving us a sneak peek at the Steel Legend and Taichi custom models that are in the pipeline.
ASRock has geared up to roll out an intriguing selection of AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs, notably the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. Although we haven’t gotten a glimpse of “official” images from other AIB partners just yet, ASRock’s models are already creating some buzz online. The lineup includes three distinct series: Steel Legend, Taichi, and Challenger. Kicking things off with the Taichi series, it’s clear this model is being positioned as ASRock’s flagship. It boasts a sleek triple-fan setup alongside a substantial heatsink, necessitating that three-slot design.
What’s particularly noteworthy about the Taichi version is its inclusion of a 12V-2×6 power connector. Interestingly, not every model will come with this feature, as AMD has given AIB partners the flexibility based on the power necessities of each model. This 12V-2×6 connector can handle power delivery up to 600W, hinting that the Taichi will excel in both specs and overclocking potential.
As for the Steel Legend variant, ASRock has designed this to cater to the mid-range market. It sports both white and silver color themes and is packaged in a 2.5-slot triple fan configuration. Instead of the 12V-2×6 connector, it utilizes a 2x 8-pin standard, which appears to be the norm for AMD’s AIB offerings, except for some of the top-tier models like the Taichi.
When should we expect these GPUs to hit the shelves? Keep an eye out for next week, as that’s when AMD is anticipated to begin pre-orders for the RX 9070 series. This exciting rollout signals that gamers won’t have long to wait to get their hands on these new graphic powerhouses.
