Playground Games has revealed that the beloved racing game will soon be available on the PS5, marking quite a milestone. This new version is being crafted by Panic Button, in collaboration with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games. Mark your calendars for a spring 2025 release.
Playground made a statement on their blog, expressing their enthusiasm for welcoming a fresh batch of gamers to the Horizon Festival. With almost 900 cars to choose from, more than 40 thematic updates, two robust expansions, and a ton of other content, PS5 players are in for a treat. Come spring, they will get their chance to race across Mexico’s stunning landscapes and experience the thrill of the Horizon Festival firsthand.
It’s essential to note that the PS5 version will mirror its Xbox counterpart in terms of content. The beloved expansions, Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure, will also be up for grabs, along with any previously released car packs. There’s another treat in store—Playground is working on a unique free content update named Horizon Realms for all platforms. It promises to let players dive into a carefully selected lineup of the community’s favorite Evolving Worlds, with a few surprises thrown in for good measure.
