The RTX 5080 experienced similar demand despite being slightly more available, though it wasn’t a significant leap from its predecessors.

Overclockers UK has announced that both the RTX 5090 and 5080 are currently out of stock, with pre-orders on indefinite hold. This means you can’t even get into the queue at their online store for now. But when can you expect these GPUs to return?
According to Overclockers UK, the RTX 5090 could take anywhere from 3 to 16 weeks to restock, while the RTX 5080 is expected back in about 2 to 6 weeks. Should the longest estimate come true for the RTX 5090, it could be as late as May 2025 before you get your hands on it, by which time the RTX 5070 Ti and 5070 will already be available—the former hitting shelves on February 20th and the latter in March.
A recent status update from Overclockers UK on January 31st, 2025, confirmed the high demand and constrained supply that led to these shortages. They had managed to fulfill some pre-orders, albeit in limited numbers, but all their stock sold out swiftly after launch.
The silver lining might be that the RTX 5080 could return to stores within the next month. Although its availability was better globally, it still fell short of meeting the overwhelming demand.
