Bandai Namco Entertainment has rolled out an update for Freedom Wars Remastered on the Nintendo Switch, now bringing each game up to version 1.4.0. This update tackles several bugs that have been causing players some headaches, such as moments of unresponsiveness in the Multiplayer Lobby, instances of the screen freezing during matchmaking in Private Rooms, unexpected item drops from enemies, and certain operations repeating more often than they should.
Freedom Wars Remastered is digitally available now for players all over the world on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.
Freedom Wars Remastered Update Version 1.4.0 Patch Notes
Bug Fixes
Multiplayer Lobby Unresponsiveness
One irritant has been fixed: players sometimes found themselves unresponsive if another player joined the lobby after they’d marked themselves as READY but before deployment.
Screen Freeze in Private Rooms
There was a glitch where canceling a match as the host could freeze a guest’s game screen. This is now a thing of the past.
Operation Start Circle Issues
When multiple players tried interacting with the same Contribution Start Circle in a Co-op Room, it would sometimes prevent them from setting themselves as "READY." This bug has been addressed.
Inappropriate Enemy Item Drops
Items not meant to drop were sometimes appearing when players defeated enemy characters. This has been corrected.
Missing Reinforcements in Contribution Missions
Players reported that enemy reinforcements were not appearing in Contribution Missions, which hampered mission completion. This bug has been squashed.
Progression Block due to Natalia’s Scene
A bug that would darken the screen and halt progression when Natalia’s sentence was added in solitary scenes has been ironed out.
Unintentional Operation Repeats
Certain special operations didn’t vanish from the list after completion, allowing them to be replayed. This has been fixed.
Augmentations and Cost Limits
If a player equips an augmentation beyond the cost limit, it will be automatically unequipped.
Icon Visibility for ‘Great Criminal’
The “great criminal” icon above a player’s head wasn’t visible to others, but that’s all sorted now.
Panopticon Transfer Information Update
After swapping to a new panopticon, the city-state status and ranking board information were not updating, but now they should function correctly.
Ally Character Behavior
Strange behaviors of ally characters were noted during contributions when carrying citizens. This oddity has been addressed.
Multiple Other Bug Fixes
The update also includes various other bug fixes that weren’t specified but improve gameplay.
Specification Adjustments/Changes
Willonite: Minimum Purity GDPP Value
A change has been made to the GDPP value earned when delivering this item.
Thorn Gauge Consumption
Reviving a character by approaching them won’t consume the Thorn Gauge anymore. However, revivals done by shooting thorns from a distance will still use the gauge.
Citizen-Carrying Obstacle Collision
The behavior when colliding with obstacles while carrying citizens during contributions has been shortened.
Mimas and Caliburn Weapons Adjustments
The attack hitbox for Heavy Melee [Mimas] and [Caliburn] weapons has been refined for better accuracy.
Power Attack and Thorn Connection
When performing a power attack while linked to the Thorn with Heavy Melee, the system will now execute a chargeable normal attack instead of an unchargeable special attack, canceling the Thorn connection for all weapons.
Chat Availability
Previously, chat wasn’t accessible between a successful contribution and the results screen. Now it is, providing more communication opportunities for players.
Dionaea’s Dragon Beam Adjustment
The attack hitbox for Dionaea’s Dragon Beam has been adjusted for more precise targeting.
Modular Synthesis Screen Enhancements
On this screen, any modules equipped on weapons are now marked with an [E] for easy identification.
Emote Behavior Improvements
Emotes have been tweaked to make them more user-friendly.
