Nintendo has introduced a fresh app called Nintendo Today, tailored for smartphones, offering a daily blend of content akin to a calendar.

Every day, this app serves up a delightful mix of the latest updates, videos, and comics centered around beloved Nintendo games and characters from a selection of popular series.

Following the upcoming Nintendo Direct presentation, scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, details about the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo’s newest portable home console, will make their way straight to the app.

Reflecting on the journey of Nintendo Direct since 2011, Shigeru Miyamoto shares, "We’ve been bringing you Nintendo news directly, and these presentations have evolved into must-watch events. Our appreciation goes out to everyone who tunes in."

Although Nintendo Direct will continue, Miyamoto announced a new approach to delivering information. Enter Nintendo Today! This innovative app functions much like a daily planner, delivering a steady stream of Nintendo-related happenings. Users can keep track of various Nintendo events while getting a daily dose of fun content featuring games and characters.

Miyamoto further elaborated that after the Nintendo Direct for the Nintendo Switch 2 on April 2, the app will provide daily, direct updates about the new console.
