Fans eager for updates on Marvel’s Wolverine for PS5 have been vocal, but Insomniac Games is setting its own schedule for releasing news. The developer insists that updates will only come when they’re prepared to share, not because of external pressure.
Recently, a social media user criticized Insomniac for seemingly neglecting PS5 players hungry for Wolverine news, sarcastically labeling the team as “great.” While Insomniac usually avoids engaging with such comments, their social media team chose to address this critique directly.
“We’ll share news about the game when we are ready to share it,” Insomniac replied, emphasizing their control over the timing. “That will always be our answer. We can’t act on every request since these things take time, resources, and approval before sharing.”
They did confirm, though, that work on Wolverine is in full swing.
Towards the close of 2023, Insomniac faced a serious ransomware attack, which led to a leak of some early footage from Wolverine. The studio expressed disappointment over this breach but assured fans that the incident hasn’t disrupted the game’s development or unveiling schedule.
Announced back in September 2021, Marvel’s Wolverine hasn’t had significant updates since. The gaming industry often sees extended production times, so it may still be some time before we get a substantial look at the gameplay.
