Hi there, I’m Kit Navock, and I’ve recently come on board as the Chief Marketing Officer at Immersed. Having recently wrapped up the sale of my own company, I found myself in a reflective phase, pondering about the next chapter in my career and the people I wanted to collaborate with. Ultimately, I made my way to Immersed. Here’s how it all unfolded.
Immersed has been a name I’ve known for quite some time. My connection to the company began as an early investor years ago, followed by gradual interaction with the team through casual get-togethers in their Austin office, sharing ideas, and even hiring someone from among their circle. Over time, I developed not just admiration for their innovative ideas but also deep respect for them as individuals. They aren’t just brilliant; they’re genuinely good people—dedicated, driven, and down-to-earth.
A few months back, I reached out to Renji, Immersed’s founder, about something as mundane as basketball. That’s when he suggested, “You should come work with us.” Initially, I took his call light-heartedly. But the idea lingered. After seeking advice from friends and mentors, the response was unanimous: seize the opportunity.
Despite accepting a lesser salary and embracing a future unknown in terms of liquidity, I took the leap. The decision wasn’t about immediate gains; it was about faith in both the people and the mission—something with the potential to become a major player in the tech world. Experiencing firsthand what they were crafting was an eye-opener.
Moving into the XR realm, I admit I wasn’t initially a tech enthusiast who tinkered with cutting-edge tools back in the day. But using Immersed’s Visor headset sparked my interest. Weighing at only 186g, it’s essentially like wearing thick sunglasses, yet it features standalone functionality with dual 4K displays and a robust battery life of three hours. Most importantly, it’s designed for actual work, seamlessly integrating with tools like VS Code, Blender, and even Netflix.
This device isn’t about gimmicks or prototypes. It’s practical and ready for real-world use. For perhaps the first time, I’m convinced that this technology is prepared for widespread adoption.
The leap from a productivity app to a full platform is another fascinating journey. Immersed, known for its AR/VR productivity solutions, is venturing into something bigger—a focused environment supported by native 3D tools and AI integration through “Curator,” which manifold enhances work efficiency by streamlining tasks and reducing interruptions.
What’s powerful about this venture is the forward-thinking vision behind it—creating not just a tool for today, but laying a foundation for the way we might all work tomorrow. It’s about developing a holistic and immersive environment that evolves with advances in AI and robotics.
I didn’t come to Immersed to simply be part of floating screens and virtual avatars. I joined because I firmly believe spatial computing is a revolutionizing force in how we function daily—the environments we create, the tools we use, and the ever-present AI assistance.
The lasting impact of Immersed goes beyond tech enthusiasts. It’s crafted for anyone interfacing with digital screens in their work, from engineers and designers to filmmakers and beyond. As technology continues to evolve, the value of a practical, immersive setup will undoubtedly expand.
With Visor, the Immersed platform, and Curator AI, we’re not just providing a peek into the future of work but helping to build its foundation. Together, they represent more than just a fascinating tech bundle; they are a comprehensive ecosystem ready to be embraced.
We’re thrilled to bring this vision to fruition and share it. The moment is ripe for everyone who has been waiting for the ideal gear and backing company. Here’s an invitation to join us at Immersed as we advance spatial computing.
Consider acquiring stock in Immersed and being part of this exhilarating future. Let’s forge this path together. – Kit
