Kluge Interactive, known for the popular VR rhythm game Synth Riders, is gearing up to release their new VR fighting experience, "Final Fury," in early access next month on Quest and SteamVR.
Mark your calendar for May 8th—this is when Final Fury hits Quest 2 and other PC VR platforms. It’s an arcade-style fighting game that brings the thrill of classic 1v1 battles to virtual reality using a unique gesture-based system.
With input from nine-time EVO champion Justin Wong, this early access release promises an engaging mix of hand gestures and real-world movement. Players can step into the shoes of six different fighters, each with their own special moves and arenas, with more content expected after launch.
"When Kluge Interactive approached me about integrating traditional fighting game mechanics into VR, I was intrigued," Wong shared. "I’ve played the game, given feedback on the mechanics, and I’m eager to see how players react in Early Access."
At launch, players can expect:
- Immersive Combat: Experience the thrill of real punches, dodges, and blocks in VR.
- Classic Mechanics: Traditional fighting styles with a physical twist.
- Growing Fighter Lineup: Six fighters, each with distinct abilities and battlegrounds, with more on the way.
- Arcade Mode: Battle AI to unlock new characters, stages, and cosmetic items.
- Online Multiplayer: Enjoy cross-platform play with smooth, competitive matches thanks to rollback netcode.
- Original Soundtrack: Jam out to new music from Zardonic, known for work on SUPERHOT: MCD.
Interested players can add Final Fury to their wishlist on the Horizon Store for Quest or Steam for PC VR. It launches May 8th for $9.99.
