In July, UNIVRS took a big step with the release of Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable in Early Access on Quest, kicking things off with just one mission and a handful of unlockable blades. This initial release was just a taste of what was to come, with the promise of more content rolling out over the months ahead. Fast forward to now, and the developer has dropped the ‘Complete Edition,’ expanding the game to include four full chapters.
When we first got our hands on it over the summer, the game felt like more of a tech demo. Sure, it showcased some key gameplay elements, but it left players craving more with just one chapter and an endless wave mode complete with a leaderboard.
With the new Complete Edition, players can finally dive into chapters three and four, wrap up the Epilogue, and take on the formidable Armored Titan boss. Plus, for the first time, you’ve got the chance to team up with friends in co-op mode, tackling all the chapters together.
Alongside the fully fleshed-out game, UNIVRS has hinted at something exciting coming in January—a ‘Thunder Spear Unlock Event’ they’re calling a “global challenge.” They’ve also announced there will be a free update planned for 2025, keeping anticipation high.
Initially, we described the game as “rough” during our early test run. Despite that, it has struck a chord with its audience, boasting an impressive 4.5 out of 5 user rating on the Horizon Store at the time of writing.
For those who got in early with the Early Access version, Part 2 is available as a free download. Newcomers can grab Part 1 for $8, Part 2 for $12 (with Part 1 needed beforehand), or snag both sections bundled for $20. The game is ready to play on Quest 2, Quest 3/S, and Quest Pro systems.
