Many believe this phenomenon is their Ancestors bestowing blessings from the beyond in celebration of this joyful time.
When you activate any Shrine in Sanctuary, including Nahantu, you’ll gain a remarkable 100% bonus experience (multiplicative) for two minutes along with enhanced powers, all while boosting your Ancestral Favor Reputation.
To dive into the festivities of Lunar Awakening, set a course for Ked Bardu and head to the northern part of town, where you’ll encounter Ying-Yue, the leader of the Lunar Night Market. This bustling market serves as the heart of the Lunar Awakening festivities. Here, you can exchange your hard-earned Ancestral Favor Reputation for Unceasing Gifts from the Ancestors caches and collect Lunar Renewal-themed decorations.
Scattered across Sanctuary, Lunar Shrines await discovery. By navigating through dungeons and the wilderness, you’ll activate these shrines and vanquish monsters, amassing loads of Ancestral Favor Reputation along the way.
These Lunar Shrines are infused with auspicious powers, thanks to the benevolent spirits of ancestors. During Lunar Awakening, all regular Shrines transform into Lunar Shrines, offering a 100% experience bonus when activated. They boast a refreshed look to commemorate the year of the snake! While they function like regular Shrines, their added power punch sets them apart for the festive occasion. A unique map icon marks these shrines, making them easy to spot from afar.
Apart from their typical abilities, Lunar Shrines provide additional exhilarating effects. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect from the augmented Lunar Shrine effects:
- Artillery Shrine: Spells may summon a holy bomb.
- Blast Wave Shrine: Every explosion triggers a cluster bombardment.
- Channeling Shrine: Increases attack speed with potential cooldown resets.
- Conduit Shrine: Calls forth frequent, potent electric strikes.
- Greed Shrine: Offers a chance to summon a Treasure Goblin, with each kill calling forth another.
- Lethal Shrine: May instantly execute a struck monster, causing Fear among nearby enemies, including Elites—though Bosses and other Players are immune.
