Marvel Rivals offers an exciting twist with its Team-Up abilities, where iconic heroes join forces to create powerful moves. These combinations can significantly impact the outcome of battles, especially if you play your cards right.
With the arrival of Season 2, we’ve seen new Team-Ups introduced while some have been temporarily retired. Fans can anticipate even more additions as the character roster continues to expand, courtesy of NetEase Games.
This guide will give you a detailed look at how Team-Up attacks function, along with a rundown of all current combos in the game.
### How Team-Ups Function in Marvel Rivals
Entering Season 2, Marvel Rivals boasts 18 unique Team-Up abilities across a lineup of 38 characters. While there are two combos currently on hold, they might make a comeback in future seasons.
Each Team-Up offers its own twist, but the basic principle is straightforward: pairing specific heroes provides remarkable advantages. You’ll notice who can team up with whom during character selection, right at the center of your screen.
Some of these advantages are passive. For instance, Hela’s Ragnarok Rebirth brings Thor or Loki back into the fray if they’re part of her squad. Others, like Rocket Raccoon’s Ammo Overload, provide an active ability, enriching the hero who initiates the Team-Up or the characters benefiting from it.
Not every Team-Up is mutually beneficial. Sometimes, one hero doesn’t gain much when grouped with their ally. Take Lunar Force for example—while it offers nothing special to Cloak & Dagger when Moon Knight is around, his teammates can make him invisible at times, which is a huge tactical advantage.
Although Team-Ups aren’t necessary to win, they definitely pack a punch and can be a strategic asset. Familiarize yourself with various characters, especially those in your role, so you can adapt and support friends with these powerful combos whenever possible.
