Are you eagerly anticipating the chance to finally dive into Dune Awakening? The good news is your wait is nearly over. A free open beta weekend is set to kick off on May 9 and will run until May 12.
To participate, you can either add the game to your wishlist before May 9 or snag one of the many beta codes distributed by the team during the weekend. While it’s not entirely open, there are plenty of opportunities to get in.
This beta arrives just days before the game’s originally planned release date of May 15, which has been rescheduled to allow Funcom a bit more time to ensure everything is polished for launch.
During the beta, players will explore the first two regions, offering about 20 hours of gameplay. You’ll get to delve into a few Research Facilities, experiment with early abilities across different classes, and engage in some PvP at ship crash sites—a solid introduction to what’s in store. If you’re curious about our experience, we’ve just released a preview of Dune Awakening that covers this part of the game.
