PQube and Inti Creates have officially announced the release date for Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark on the Nintendo Switch, and fans are buzzing with excitement.
Set in a world steeped in gothic fantasy, this 2D action-adventure game takes us deep into the Demon Realm. Here, Demon Lords are locked in endless conflict, battling fiercely for control over this dark domain.
Our protagonists, Kirikia and Masha, serve as maids to Demon Lord Maxim. They return home only to find their castle has been laid waste by the rival Demon Lord, Lyzenorg. With their master fallen and their home in ruins, the pair sets off on a mission to restore Maxim’s power and reclaim their rightful place. Their odyssey of vengeance and renewal begins now!
The creators have highlighted several key features that players can look forward to:
*GalGun-vania Experience:** The game embraces its metroidvania roots completely. As you dive into the Demon Realm, you’ll uncover countless combos and exploration opportunities with the two upgradeable characters.
Revive and Reinforce: As you locate and revive Maxim’s loyal vassals, you’ll strengthen your base, the Demon Lord’s castle. Rebuilding it unlocks bonus features that aid your quest for retribution.
Dynamic Duo: Kirika and Masha, the sister maid heroines, each have distinct gameplay styles. Kirika wields demonic guns for ranged attacks, while Masha uses her whip for close combat.
Co-op Adventure: Whether you’re on the couch or online, team up with a friend for a cooperative experience. Each player assumes control of a sister, allowing for teamwork that reveals new areas and strategies to defeat powerful foes.
Loot and Crafting: As you vanquish enemies and uncover treasure chests, you’ll earn various items, sub-weapons, and enhancements known as “Demon Relics”. These can be crafted into special abilities essential for unlocking different parts of the map.
Stylish Gameplay: With the “Style” system from its predecessor, players can choose from “Casual”, “Veteran”, or “Legend” modes, freely switching between them at any time while enjoying a consistent experience across all difficulties.
