If you’ve been itching for some mechanized mayhem, today is definitely your day. Steel Hunters has just made its debut in Early Access! This free-to-play game combines extraction shooting with battle royale elements, guaranteed to deliver a thrilling experience for anyone who loves robots.
The team behind Steel Hunters is none other than Wargaming, the creators of the popular World of Tanks, World of Warships, and World of Warplanes. While these past titles focused on military vehicles in historical settings, Steel Hunters shifts gears by bringing tactical combat into a whole new arena.
Launching in Early Access, the game offers players a choice of seven different Hunters, which are essentially the game’s unique mechs. An additional Hunter will be introduced as the early access period progresses. Players can explore three diverse maps, engage with a battle pass system, and most importantly, retain their progress even when the game fully launches. For those eager to dive in, there’s no better time than now.
This year seems fantastic for fans of robotic games. Earlier, we saw the open beta for Mecha Break, a game that takes inspiration from the classic Gundam series and offers a different twist on mech gameplay. In contrast, Steel Hunters aims for a more grounded approach in both its tactics and design style.
If this piques your interest, why not give Steel Hunters a shot? It’s available right now on PC. Share your thoughts and experiences with us in the comments below!
