An iconic franchise that defined a generation and had many of us humming along to Goldfinger’s "Superman" while picking up a skateboard is making a return. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 is back, landing on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch this July 11th.
In a nostalgic nod similar to the remaster of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2, THPS 3 and 4 revisits beloved spots like Foundry, College, and Alcatraz, while also introducing some brand new levels into the mix. The soundtracks, already legendary in their own right, get a boost with fresh tunes, and the skater roster expands with some new faces alongside familiar favorites. Modern enhancements like updated visuals, higher refresh rates, and ultrawide support bring these classics into 2023, but for those keen on reliving the past, the option to switch back to the old-school graphics is there.
For the eager fans, here’s a rundown of the versions available for pre-order, details on where to snag a copy, and what each edition offers. Particularly if you’re on PC or Xbox, note that the game will be part of Game Pass Ultimate from day one.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 – Standard Edition
Priced at $49.99, the Standard Edition might not come with flashy extras, but pre-ordering from any retailer gets you early access to the Foundry demo—try out two parks and skaters before launch. Plus, there’s an exclusive wireframe Tony shader to customize Birdman himself.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 – Digital Deluxe Edition
Shelling out $69.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition also gets you the Foundry demo and wireframe Tony, along with a slew of Doom Eternal-inspired cosmetics. This includes Revenant and Doom Slayer skaters, five skate decks, and create-a-skater options. You’ll also find the Unmakyr Hoverboard in there, along with tracks from the Doom Eternal Soundtrack. And don’t forget, this edition lets you dive into the game three days ahead of official release.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 – Collector’s Edition
For the hardcore fans, the $129.99 Collector’s Edition is unbeatable. On top of everything included in the Digital Deluxe pack and the three-day early access, this edition offers a full-size, limited edition Birdhouse skateboard. Just bear in mind you’ll need to add your own trucks, wheels, and grip tape to start shredding.
