Last week slipped by with us missing just a couple of gaming updates: Namco’s The Quest of Ki joining the Archives from the Vs series, while Radio Free Nintendo pretty much had everything else covered in their episode 900.
You could say the Horizon series is kind of cursed. Every time a new installment is about to shine, it’s completely eclipsed by some massive release. Remember when the original dropped just before Breath of the Wild or how its sequel had to contend with the Elden Ring frenzy? Even the souped-up remaster got caught up in the whirlwind of the latest Dragon Age game launch. This week, Lego Horizon Adventures seems to face the same fate as it’s sidelined by the arrival of Dragon Quest III HD-2D and Tetris Forever. Willem’s already offered his thoughts on Tetris, and you can expect a take on Dragon Quest soon.
Keep an eye out this week for some intriguing additions: Petit Island, spotlighted if you were on Wholesome Direct at half speed, is on the way, along with a fresh bundle of Irem shooters. Plus, the EggConsole brings another spin on the classic Ys experience.
