Ubisoft has just pulled back the curtain on Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 10 Season 1, marking the introduction of the fresh operator, Rauora, alongside a new reputation system. Since its inception, Rainbow Six Siege has consistently rolled out updates, each designed to draw in new players and maintain the interest of those who have been with the game for a while.
The game’s most recent chapter, Operation Collision Point, came out in December 2024. One of its standout features was a comprehensive overhaul of veteran operator Blackbeard’s skills. This season also introduced cross-play between consoles and PC, alongside player experience enhancements and balance tweaks. Now, as Operation Prep Phase is set to kick off, Ubisoft’s tactical shooter is gearing up for another round of exciting changes.
In the upcoming update, Operation Prep Phase, we have Rauora taking the spotlight. This new attack operator will initially be accessible through the battle pass but will eventually be available for purchase with Renown or R6 Credits. For a first in the game’s history, Rauora will come equipped with a Reaper MK2 pistol as her secondary weapon. Her standout gadget, the Deployable Omnilink Mesh (D.O.M.), is quite the game-changer. It launches bulletproof panels across doorways, allowing Rauora to both obstruct enemy vision and restrict their movement.
### New Features in Rainbow Six Siege Year 10 Season 1
– Introducing Rauora, a brand-new attack operator
– Implementation of a reputation system
– Dynamic matchmaking 1.0 system
– New tactics to tackle exploits and cheating
The introduction of Rauora is not the only exciting development. Ubisoft is also rolling out a new reputation system. Players who maintained a Respectable rating or higher by the end of Year 9 Season 4 will receive an Alpha Pack as a reward. Conversely, those who ended up with a Disruptive or Dishonorable rating will face restrictions on playlist access and certain rewards. To tackle game exploitation and ensure fair play, the new update will also implement innovative ways to curb cheating, alongside the dynamic matchmaking 1.0 system, which promises smoother matchmaking during peak gaming hours.
While fans eagerly wait to discover more about the forthcoming season, there’s still more to be excited about. Rainbow Six Siege has scheduled a showcase event in March, where developers are set to unveil the highly anticipated Rainbow Six Siege X game. Early hints suggest impressive upgrades in graphics and some as-yet undisclosed features and events that are sure to spice up the gaming experience.
