Analogue has announced a delay in the release of their much-anticipated Analogue 3D console, moving its launch to July 2025. Originally, this revamped Nintendo 64 console was set to hit the market in early 2025, alongside a separately sold 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth controller. While pre-orders for the Analogue 3D have not been replenished yet, the company has ensured fans that restocks for their white Analogue Pocket will be available soon.
The Analogue 3D, a modern spin on the classic Nintendo 64, promises fans a nostalgic trip down memory lane with the assurance of full compatibility with the entire N64 game library. Announced back in October 2024, the console was initially priced at $249.99 and was supposed to launch early next year. Available in sleek black and white models, it stirred excitement among retro gaming enthusiasts. The separate 8BitDo controller, priced at $39.99, quickly became a hot commodity, selling out almost immediately after pre-orders began last year. Enthusiasts eager to relive their favorite Nintendo 64 moments will now have to mark their calendars for the middle of next year.
Despite the delay, Analogue confirmed via Twitter that they are committed to ensuring all pre-orders are honored and shipped as planned. Customers shouldn’t worry as there’s an easy cancellation and full refund option available for those reconsidering their orders. However, the announcement has met with mixed reactions, mainly because there’s yet to be any official footage showcasing the Analogue 3D in action. This has left gamers speculating about how this updated console might handle some of the beloved titles from the N64 era.
Excitement remains high for when the Analogue 3D finally becomes available. Besides supporting all games released for the original Nintendo 64 console, it promises enhanced gameplay with 4K resolution support, compatibility with up to four classic N64 controllers at once, as well as additional USB and Bluetooth controller options. The console conveniently integrates Memory Pak and Expansion Pak features and comes bundled with an HDMI cable, a USB cable, and a USB-C power adapter.
Although the Analogue 3D isn’t available for pre-order at the moment, fans of Analogue’s products can still get their hands on the white version of the Analogue Pocket. This handheld console plays a variety of cartridge-based games from systems like the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and SEGA’s Game Gear, with the black model and various accessories still available on Analogue’s official website.
