Hey there, Trailblazers! Ever ready with an adventure, the Honkai: Star Rail development team is back to excite you with some enticing details about version 2.7, titled “A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn.” Mark your calendars for December 4! This update wraps up our current tale in Penacony and is the prelude to our forthcoming journey into Amphoreus, the enigmatic domain known as the Eternal Land. It sets the stage perfectly for the fresh stories that await us in version 3.0.
As we look back, Black Swan nudged the Crew towards the ever-mysterious Amphoreus — a place so elusive that even Akivili, the Aeon of Trailblaze, hasn’t managed to explore. Intrigued yet wary, Navigator Miss Himeko sets out to gather as much intelligence on this destination as possible. Back on the Astral Express, our Crew has one last rendezvous in Penacony, meeting up old pals and soaking in memories, as they gear up for what promises to be a daring new quest.
### Old Friends Return to Shine
Taking us down memory lane is the electrifying performance at the Penacony Grand Theater, which still echoes with nostalgia. It’s not just the Astral Express that finds itself stirring from a slumber — Mr. Sunday, too, awakens with new dreams. Stepping aside from his headship of the Oak Family, he’s chosen a path less traveled. As a mortal now, Sunday seeks to genuinely experience the world around him, casting off blessings of both Harmony and Order. With the aid of the secretive Pepeshi, Wonweek, Sunday embraces this transformation, donning a brand-new look hidden under robes and a hood, ready for one last breathtaking performance on the Planet of Festivities.
Celebrated as a 5-star Imaginary character, Sunday shows off unique Support skills. His ability to make an ally immediately act and boost their DMG output is extraordinary. Not only that, when an ally with a Summon steps in, they can both instantly act, enhancing the DMG Boost even further. In his Ultimate, Sunday regenerates Energy for an ally and enhances them along with their Summon to the status of The Beatified, gracing them with a halo and ramping up their CRIT DMG.
Our charismatic friend Tingyun, now under the alias Fugue, is making a comeback. Once a foxian girl known for her sharp wit, Fugue’s very essence seems to have been stolen. But her story’s not over; hope clings to her, though the mark of Destruction whispers restlessly inside. After a near-death escape from Phantylia’s grasp back in the main storyline of version 1.2, she owes her survival to Madam Ruan Mei of the Genius Society who quite literally saved her life. Recently, Himeko and Welt linked up with Madam Ruan Mei, taking the decision to return Miss Tingyun to where she truly belongs.
Fugue is emerging as a 5-star Fire character, demonstrating ways to support allies in diminishing Toughness, unrestrained by enemy Type Weaknesses. Her presence on the battlefield marks enemies with the Cloudflame Luster state. Should the Luster hit zero, the afflicted take further Break DMG. Her gameplay style ensures that when teammates target Weakness Broken foes, additional Super Break DMG is dealt. Moreover, Fugue elevates ally Break Effect with her Technique. Her Ultimate doesn’t just deal Fire DMG to all foes, it bypasses Weakness Type to slash away at Toughness directly.
Returning too are the limited 5-star characters General Jing Yuan and Firefly, drawing players with their robust talents to strengthen companions for the road ahead. They’ll reappear in version 2.7’s first and second halves of the warp event, respectively.
### Fresh Gameplay Elements Await in Version 2.7
Beyond new faces and storylines, version 2.7 promises players a remarkably immersive aspect. Enter the Party Car aboard the Astral Express — a place where sophistication meets nostalgia. Trailblazers can find themselves in a welcoming reception hall, complete with a swanky marble bar and an automated classic bartender at your service. With the sheer expanse of space as your backdrop, savor a drink with the Express Crew or reflect quietly by that vast window — there’s plenty to ponder.
Ascend further, and you’ll discover a personalized haven for the Trailblazer. The Cosmic Home Décor Guide event lets you transform a once-empty storage room into a cozy personal retreat. As you take part in tasks to collect Express Funds, watch your space come to life with every piece of furniture you add, each building upon the cosmic journey you embark upon.
Excitingly, the Relic system will undergo an update as we move into version 3.0. Get ready to use specialized tools to choose the Main Stat and Subsidiary Stats for a Relic during synthesis! By utilizing a specific amount of the Wishful Resin along with Self-Modeling Resin, both Main and Sub Stats for a Relic can be set concurrently.
Before wrapping things up, there’s a special tidbit we’ve saved! Pom-Pom stumbled across something intriguing while tidying the storage boxes for the Trailblazer. From the start of version 2.7 right up until version 3.2’s end, Trailblazers can avail themselves of a Gift of the Express — a chance to select one regular 5-star character. The call of the path continues, with all new and well-loved allies stepping up to the forefront — together, we’ll keep battling side by side!
That’s all for now on what’s coming in version 2.7. However, make sure to stay tuned because a few surprises are still lurking on the horizon. It’s an exhilarating time as we reunite with our old partner Herta, a master of the Herta Space Station herself, ready for the escapades our new version promises once it debuts on December 4.
