Alien: Rogue Incursion has just landed today on PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, offering players an adrenaline-pumping, Xenomorph-themed horror-shooter experience. For those using Quest headsets, don’t worry: the alien action is set to make its way there in February next year. Meanwhile, Survios, the game’s developer, has an exciting announcement—they’re already hard at work on ‘Part Two’.
In our in-depth review of Part One, we praised the game with a score of [7/10], largely due to its captivating atmosphere and gripping storyline. However, we noted that the gameplay could feel a bit stale at times due to repeated enemy encounters, paired with a harsh save system that tested a player’s patience.
Even though Part One stands well on its own, with a play time of about eight hours packed with memorable encounters and engaging plot twists, the narrative naturally sets you up to anticipate what’s coming in Part Two.
Although detailed specifics about the sequel remain under wraps, it seems like we’re in for a refreshing change. Survios hints at introducing new elements beyond the familiar Xenomorph hordes we’ve battled before. They’ve confirmed that Part Two will dive deeper into Zula’s journey, with more formidable foes and tougher challenges in store.
Before we dive into the next chapter, the main focus is on rolling out Part One to Quest users. Mark your calendars for February 13th, 2025, when it will be exclusively available on Quest 3/3S. Packing all its intense, dynamic environments and intricate textures into the Quest 3’s mobile chipset is no small feat. This difficulty likely explains the delay in its Quest release.
Given that the foundational mechanics are already laid out in Part One, fans are hopeful for a quick follow-up featuring Zula Hendricks. We eagerly anticipate her continuing saga as she bravely battles to eradicate every last Xenomorph from the rogue science station.
