Space Marine 2’s primary campaign is relatively brief, taking just a few hours to complete. However, Saber Interactive isn’t letting the adventure end there. They’ve been actively updating the game, introducing new operations and expanding multiplayer options. Just recently, Saber rolled out their third significant content update for the game. Known as Datavault, this latest patch brings a fresh chamber to the battle barge, along with a slew of new cosmetic items, a PvP map, and the menacing presence of the Tyranid Biovore.
In the world of Space Marine 2, players step into the boots of Commander Titus for the main storyline. Alternatively, they can dive into a range of side operations, which, while not crucial to the main plot, provide additional insights into military strategies and tactics deployed throughout the story. Awaiting their turn in Operations or PvP mode, players can explore the Ultramarine battle barge. Now, this barge houses the new Datavault chamber, where Tech-Priests collect and organize data on enemy forces. Players face various challenges to collect this data, which then converts into a research currency. This currency is your ticket to acquiring impressive power armor pieces and weapon skins.
The Datavault update has upped the ante by adding the formidable Biovore into Operations. This particular Tyranid unit boasts a striking design, with crab-like legs and an enormous organic cannon perched on its armored back. Meanwhile, those who thrive in PvP settings can explore a brand new map styled like a Necron tomb.
Alongside the Datavault update, a fresh season pass is on offer, featuring new armor sets for Raven Guard and Salamanders, an Absolute difficulty mode, numerous quality-of-life enhancements, and a variety of balance adjustments.
