Update for December 13th: We’re thrilled to share that, after a successful testing phase with our Insiders, the Support Virtual Agent is now being launched nationwide for all Xbox users in the U.S. Big thanks to everyone who participated in testing and gave us invaluable feedback on this feature.
The Support Virtual Agent is an innovative AI tool designed to streamline support for Xbox gamers who face technical issues. Starting today, a select group of Xbox Insiders who access support.xbox.com will experience this new feature. This AI tool swiftly retrieves and delivers information relevant to Xbox console and game issues, providing users with accurate and quick solutions. For those based in the U.S. and using English as their main language, the Support Virtual Agent is ready for a spin by visiting the support website while signed into an Xbox Insider account.
The feedback from Xbox Insiders is crucial to refining the Support Virtual Agent. As you use it, feel free to express your sentiments through the “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” options after each interaction. Alternatively, you can send direct feedback using the “Give feedback” button at the bottom of the page.
How to Use Support Virtual Agent
Starting today, Xbox Insiders will notice the new Support Virtual Agent option on the “Contact us” page at support.xbox.com. Simply sign in with your Xbox Insider Program account, and you’ll see an option to ask the Support Virtual Agent a question.
Clicking “Ask a question” opens the Support Virtual Agent in a new window. You’re free to interact via text or voice, and it will then guide you using data from support.xbox.com. Should the virtual assistant not resolve your query, you can opt to chat with a live agent during Xbox Support’s normal operational hours.
During this preview phase, players can also tailor their support experience by using the ellipsis menu to select between two distinct Support Virtual Agents.
How to Get Xbox Insider Support and Share Your Feedback
If you’re part of the Xbox Insider community and need a hand, hop over to our Xbox Insider subreddit. Here, Xbox staff, moderators, and other Insiders are on standby to assist you. We recommend joining in on existing discussions rather than starting a new thread, as this helps us provide better support. You can also report issues directly to Team Xbox by following the instructions described under the “Report a problem online” section.
For those not in the Xbox Insider Program but eager to shape Xbox’s future and get early peeks at new features, joining is easy. Simply download the Xbox Insider Hub for your Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, or Windows PC.
