Exciting news for Xbox Insiders! You can now stream your own games on your console using Xbox Cloud Gaming, alongside enjoying some of the top picks from Game Pass. While the number of games available for streaming hasn’t expanded, those in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate club can now dive into selected titles on both Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
### Microsoft Enhances Xbox Cloud Gaming for Insiders
For those involved in the Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha preview rings, there are currently 50 non-Game Pass games up for streaming through Xbox Cloud Gaming. As detailed in a post on Xbox Wire, these Insiders can stream their owned games not only on the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One but also on PCs, smartphones, and tablets across 28 different countries. To get in on the action, Insiders in these circles need an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
This update comes as a pleasant surprise, as console streaming wasn’t anticipated until next year. If you’re testing this feature, you’ll now notice a cloud gaming badge on compatible games when you browse your library on Xbox consoles. Plus, you can now sort your collection with options like “Ready to play” and “Cloud gaming.”
Microsoft has also revealed plans for more enhancements, saying, “Support for launching directly from the Store app and streaming in the Xbox app on Windows PC will be coming in the future.”
When this feature first appeared last month, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers could stream some of their owned titles using web browsers. The lineup includes about 50 games right now, featuring blockbuster titles such as Baldur’s Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, among others.
We’re eagerly anticipating the wider rollout of this exciting feature by 2025. What about you? Excited to stream some of your favorite Xbox Series X|S games through Xbox Cloud Gaming? Share your thoughts with us below!
